As an appetizer, dessert, or even an after-ski snack, the comforting salty and coconut notes of grilled St-Guillaume Baya Halloumi paired with chocolate, strawberry coulis, or the sweet topping of your choice will amaze the taste buds of the person you share it with on Valentine’s Day or any time of year!

If we can do it, so can you!

You don’t need to be a great chef to pull off your presentation. You can quickly learn a few decorating tips on YouTube, for example. But to show you just how easy it is, we’ve prepared this short video. And if we can do it, so can you!

Quick tips…

  • We recommend decorating your plate before grilling the cheese so that it can be served nice and hot. Over medium-high heat, grill the cheese for 1 to 2 minutes on each side depending on the desired color.
  • You can also slice the cheese into three layers for thinner slices.
  • If you don’t have strawberry coulis, go for your favorite jam and purée it with a hand blender. (That’s what we did!)
  • Here are some suggestions for sweet toppings:
Melted or chopped white, dark, or milk chocolate, fruit coulis, cinnamon heart candies, caramel popcorn, maple sugar chunks, fudge, hard caramels, or even pieces of sponge toffee.

Have fun! We’d love to see your creations. Feel free to share them with us on our Facebook account.

PS: Treat yourself the next day by topping a salad with the grilled leftovers. 😜
