A partner of the Breast Cancer Foundation since 2015, Fromagerie St-Guillaume once again rallied in support of the cause by participating in the Virée Rose with the help of its ambassadors from the Savoure ta vie! team
As part of the Virée Rose, the Foundation’s largest fundraising event, members of the Savoure ta vie! corporate team donated over 5,000 minutes of their time doing activities and collecting donations from their coworkers, family and friends, and the general public.
The team set an ambitious goal of $5,000 in donations, keeping in mind that their employer, Agrilait s.e.c., had agreed to match the donations collected up to $5,000.
“With such potential for donations from our employer, we doubled our efforts. In addition to talking about the cause on our personal social media while doing various physical activities, we baked and sold cookies, bags of candies, and popcorn to the dairy employees and the public at the Interpretation Centre. It’s very rewarding to support a cause and we always want to do more!”
– Marie-Fée Proulx, Team Leader Savoure ta vie!, Fromagerie St-Guillaume
Statistics show breast cancer as the most common cancer among women in Canada and the 2nd leading cause of cancer death among Canadian women. By choosing to support the Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation, Fromagerie St-Guillaume is helping a cause that has national reach and primarily affects women who, even today, are the main decision-makers for grocery shopping.
Agrilait s.e.c., the parent company of Fromagerie St-Guillaume, is very proud of the efforts made in one month by the Savoure ta vie! team, which collected $1,360 in donations.
“Our support significantly impacts the lives of people affected by breast cancer. And to show our appreciation to our employees for their efforts and to all the generous donors, Agrilait s.e.c. chose to match the donations collected as of October 18, 2022, by donating $1,360 to the Foundation, for a total donation of $2,720.”
– Jean Brodeur, General Manager, Agrilait s.e.c.
Thank you all for supporting our team. We are very grateful. And above all, thank you for giving the Foundation the means to provide support to our community, while advancing knowledge, so that one day, we can put an end to breast cancer.
